SYMPHONY847 ANNOUNCES SECOND ROUND OF AUDITIONS 

Calling all musicians! Symphony847 is holding a second round of auditions. Please see the details below. Submissions are due on September 30, 2022. If you have any questions, please reach out to our Personnel Manager, Brandy Crawford (personnel@symphony847.org).

Purpose 

The purpose of the second round of auditions is to build upon our core group of musicians. These auditions are simply for membership, and will NOT be used for placement within sections, or establishing principals.

Process 

Auditions will take place virtually 

Players will submit a video (or series of videos) containing 3-7 minutes of a solo of your choice, and 2 standard orchestral excerpts. (You may use the following site for reference: https://orchestraexcerpts.com/ - however your excerpts are not limited to this list) 

The panel will make recommendations to the music director. The panel will review audition submissions. The music director will make the final decision.

Timeline 

September 30, 2022 - Videos due via audition form

October 7, 2022 - Results due from the panel

October 14, 2022 - Auditions results will be posted and musicians will be notified.

To submit an audition video, fill out the google form located HERE. 

Please upload your audition video to YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc. and provide the link in the Google Form. If you would like, you may also upload a resume.
