Symphony847 invites you to begin your journey into the world of art-inspired music with a relaxed evening of creativity and craft spirits at North Shore Distillery in Libertyville.
Our Paint & Sip event on Wednesday, March 11 from 6:00–8:30 PM features step-by-step painting instruction from artist Tanya Leintz, guiding participants through the creation of a vibrant Chicago skyline painting. All supplies are provided, and no prior painting experience is required.
Guests will enjoy a handcrafted signature cocktail and light snacks while exploring their creative side in a welcoming, social environment.
Why This Event Matters
This evening is more than just a fun night out — it’s a creative prelude to Symphony847’s spring programming.
On April 30, our quartet performs Music Inspired by Impressionist Art, pairing Jennifer Higdon’s Impressions with Claude Debussy’s String Quartet in G minor — works that translate color, texture, and light into sound.
Then on May 23, our full orchestra presents Paintings Composed, a program that explores how visual art inspires orchestral music on a grand scale.
Paint & Sip offers a hands-on way to step into that artistic conversation. Before you hear how composers interpret visual art through music, you’ll experience creating visual art yourself.
